Spectrum DX7s with Eachine x220S

Hi All,

I'm just about to purchase my first racing quad and I've chosen the X220s. My question is can I use my DX7s radio and use the quad to its full potential or am I better off buying the RTF quad that comes with radio??
I've used spectrum for years flying all sizes of heli's but from what I've seen its not popular with quads - is there a reason for this? Is the range as good as a FRSky radio.
Only problem with the included radio is it just seems cheap and nasty and I'd rather stick with my DX7s.
Some advice would be appreciated before hit buy it now on the quad.

Cheers

Stuart

You can put a compatible receiver in it if you buy the ARF version (no receiver). The RTF version has a FlySky FS-i6X transmitter and compatible receiver. It's a decent radio. I use one and like it, but I don't think anyone would try to argue that it's as good as your DX7.

Hardly. Well liked and reviewed with a major fan base. FlySky also makes many small, lightweight, inexpensive PPM/Ibus RXs

That said if you don't own one, find a Spektrum (or compatible) RX that is either PPM or SBus ready to use with your DX7.

Hi spectrum has just released a multirotor receiver it will also do telemetry but it's about £59 or go for a lemon receiver these are small and work on DSMX
