hi guys

You'll have to forgive means I'm new to quads but have been building and flying helis and planes for years.

I've just finished building my new zmr250 with a full naze32 rev6. I'm trying to work in my Spektrum dx6 with an r615x in rd ppm mode but I'm lost on how to work in the throw switches on the transmitter. On the cleanflight software you can use 8 aux ports but with the dx6 you can only program 2. Is there something I've missed?

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately this doesnt really help. The quad is set up in ppm and works fine but at the minute, i can only get aux 1 and 2 working on the transmitter, it there a way of opening up more functions like the gear switch?

I'm confused as what you mean. You have 6 channels to work with 4 of which will be used for the basics, throttle to rudder (TAER) leaving you with 2.

With my Flysky 6ch TX I can go into the menu and assign any of my 4 switches or 2 pots to ch 5 or ch 6 (AUX channels.) I assigned my 3 position switch to ch 5 and used this for my 3 flight modes (I use a CC3D.) That is all I'm using at this time. I still have ch 6 available to use for something which I can assign to any of my 3 remaining 2 position switches or 2 pots.

A good example would be this Electronic Switch.

Setting ch 6 to a switch I could plug this into it and turn on/off LEDs or a spotlight etc.

Thankyou, I now understand. I just wasn't sure if using ppm would free up some of the Channel assignments. So if I want to use more features etc, I need a transmitter with more channels

Hi mate you need to be careful not all channels are able to be assigned to switches to turn things off and on , you should be able to use the flaps to switch on and off but its harder with 6 channels if your not using aux channel to turn on and off self level you can use this for lights
May be your have to look at 9 channel transmitter they normally have assign able switches but most are 3 way not 2
