Some Internal Forum Questions

I am settling in here and finding this forum most helpful as I embark upon a most interesting new hobby - quad flying. I have a couple of questions about the inner workings of this forum, however.

(1) I notice that forum members have a space below their avatar and their user name that contains either their "member status level" (Member, Well Known Member, etc.) or a wise-acre remark that the user put in there himself. With regard to the "member status level" - is that what it is? Is there a formal, "pecking order" of member designation here? If so, what is it based upon and where on the forum can I go to see the details on that?

(2) With regard to the "wise-acre remark" referred to in (1), how do I insert my own remark?

If you have an account, you can set your own profile status. At least, I've done that. Now, the powers that be can probably do that as will. don't know that for sure. A pecking order remains within the hierarchy of live flying objects, including Birds, Insects, Flying Mammals, Boeing and Air Bus. One wise-acre remarks ALWAYS deserves a wise-acre reply!

What do you mean, an "account"? I am registered here, much like everyone else. An "account" implies $$$. I wasn't aware of that. Talk to me ....

Because I can go into my profile page and put a message on my profile, but that doesn't change what is on my posts, just under my avatar which is, by the way, "Well-Known Member." Now I didn't put that in there. I'm wondering where it came from and I'm thinking it might have been put there by the little men that always follow me around, know what I mean? The green ones? ;)

pretty standard implementation for forums, most of this stuf is written into the forum code and customisable. bottom of this page says "xenforo" and likely most other xenforo boards around are gonig to have the same features.

not too much traffic here but enough to be an active and useful forum. if you want to pecker around for status, rcgroups is prolly the place to be re: quads.

yeah "well known member" chortle.

I don't care a hoot about status. But I want to be able to put a wise-acre remark just under my avatar like I see so many others have done. How do they do that? That's my question.

There is a league sort of. Cowboy is up there. I like helping it keeps me learning also. Got to do something on these ten hour shifts. I could drone on all day.
