Hi Mate I would if you can get some that are flashed with simonk or BLheli they will work better watch this video
Some people prefer one some the other. Depends how your flying. The ESC braking function means that the magnets create resistance like FET drag to slow the motor down when you cut the throttle, on a racing quad controlled by a great pilot this is perfect, but for a beginner this will cause you more harm than help.Im not sure what you guys talking about there with brakes on the motors and what not lol
Anyways. So I still need to get a video for you guys but yea its flying decent.
Im getting about 10 min flight time with a 5200mah battery. That sound about right?
Charges to about 11.1v and when it dies its at about 9.4v
Anyway to increase the flight time?
Can defiantly tell that the ESC are not correct for this type of quad. You can tell its a bit flaky. It is very jittery at times.
Looking at buying these ZTW spider 30a ESC
Also I cannot get a proper hover with this. When flying I can get close. Ill have it to a point where it slowly descends. I touch up on the throttle one click and it slowly ascends.
So it wont do a proper hover.
2 more questions.
Is there a way to set a warning beep on the FC to warn you about the battery dieing?
Also what is this setting on the FC about with the self hover?
EDIT: whats better, BLheli or SimonK
You have to reflash the ESCs with new firmware or get a programming card. Post a link where you got the motors. How do I turn that braking function off then? cause 2 of them slow down almost instantly and the other 2 dont.
be sure to get the 3S1P instead of the 3S2P (unless your getting 4S then get 4S1P).Its off hobbyking but Im going to get some different ESC's first before I reprogram anything.
But about the battery, how long of a flight time roughly should I get with a 5200mah battery?
Its a Multistar High Capacity 3S 5200mAh.
Also is there a way to have a warning on the radio of something on the quad to warn you when the battery is going to die?
NOT the buzzer, there are two sets of headers, one black (buzzer) and the other red (voltage alarm). you also have to set the voltage alarm.I just checked the batteies i own and just bought.
The one ive been using is this one

There all 3s1P.
So take a + lead off the distribution board and attach it to the + side of the buzzer on the kk? and then just keep the ground attached to the kk board?
