Posting Picture Files

I would like to know how to post photos on THIS forum...every forum I belong to has a different method for posting picture files!

You've got two options depending on the location of the image you're trying to post.

There's the Upload a File button:
Use this one when you want to upload a file from your computer.

There's the Image Button:
Use this one when the image lives somewhere on the internet - get the address and paste it in the box that appears after you press the button.

Also, copy/paste appears to allow you to paste an image into the post text area, but doesn't seem to include in the actual post.
 
I'm on a Mac, when I press the Upload a File button, I get a Finder window that let's me navigate to and choose the file I want to upload. If you're on Windows, the process should be the same, except an Explorer window (or whatever its called now) instead of a Finder window.

Are you choosing standard picture formats? xxxx.jpg and xxxx.png are the most common.

Just saved your avatar to my HD as hal 11651.jpg.

Now I hit Upload and navigated to it. When it showed up under Attached Files I also chose 'Full Image' so it shows up inline.

Well Jackson...I think I have the jpg picture format, but all 300 + images in my master image file library are just numbers, such as o25, 163, etc.

You seem to be the acknowledged member with all the answers...are you the Moderator or Administrator?

Hal (I use several avatars, just so people don't get tired of the same one.)
