New camera for custom drone.

Hi, I've been looking for a new camera for a custom Tarot 680. Roughly £500-600 not including the gimbal. Does anyone have any suggestions? My GoPro hero 7 just feels lacking at the moment in time. Looking for any type of camera, to be honest. DSLR, SLR, or GoPro I don't mind. Don't really mind about the weight as long as it's not over the top.

Yeh, ive been looking at all sorts but It's really hard to pin point a singular one. I believer most people use canon because of CHDK. But there are so many Canon cameras to choose from
 
Yeah there sure are , but ask a good camera shop for advice then once you know you can shop around , I had to when I wanted one for astrophotography
