Need some advice on batteries for remote

First I have a Hubsan H501S, standard remote with fpv screen (first quad)...question is what rechargeable AA batteries would any of you suggest without any modifications to the battery carriage area. I've seen where some have cut out the AA carriage and replaced with some other type battery hook up...I would like any and all input On rechargable AA battery selection and type...I've read that the standard AA shelf batteries will not last very long to check into rechargeables. Like I stated before I am new to all this and just want to be set up ready to go with better than just "ok" equipment. I have not even removed the quad from the box due to work. I just want to have everything already at home to get my quad life started...as soon as I can get there....Thanks in advance! Rocky

In that case I suggest you just stick with regular alkaline batteries. They are typically 1.5 volts, wheras rechargeables are only 1.2 volts

I use Rayovac NiMHs in my i6 TX with no problems. That said I don't have an LCD screen like yours. Note fully charged NiMHs are ~1.43V, as NiMHs drain they will stay at about 1.2 volts for most of their discharge cycle which keeps them above the 4V minimum listed on the PCB of your TX.

Duracell rechargeable I use, easy 10 hours flying time. I got 8 with a charger for 12 bucks. 4 in Tx 4 spare in my flight bag. No worries.
