Need help is this fake

Hard to say. That said a counterfeit would have copied the packaging exactly. That window box would be more expensive to make. The X4 has been around for about 3+ years, maybe it's just real old stock in original packaging.

Different big stores like Maplin - may have old stock in branches and collect them into one for a get rid cheap sale. Ditto packaging it cost to changeteh design of packaging and there is always an overlap on stock running out and the new lot kicking in.
Fake or real - does it do the job OK??

As an aside... I was in our local shopping centre yesterday and we have a cheapo shop that sells repaired rejects - end of stock and returns etc,.

They have some Hobbico boxed quads- ELF?? its a little thing! with a fixed prop guard in the figure 8 ie all props inside! Its au$79 - the have a bigger one same all encompassing prop guard but I never heard of the makers - it is bigger than a Phantom 3 with prop guards fitted! Seems they all had failty camera's - now removed and were selling at au$69.
So as you can see.. older stuff or faulty and repaired - can get re-circulated into shops.
 
Hi mate I think your find that was just for the maplin shop, its a display box the X4 had a white box and was boring looking, the display box allows you to see what your getting and get more buyers this way
