Need a good Quad Simulator.

Fellow Quadsters,

I am looking for a good Drone/Quadcopter Flight Simulator so I can improve my piloting of my quads. I have seen some references to these before, but, like the common dummy I seem to be, I have failed to write them down. I would prefer FREE simulators if possible. Thank you for your help in advance.

FPV Freerider is pretty decent and doesn't require a ton of computing horsepower to run. There is a limited free version, but I spent the $4.99 for the full version and am happy I did. What TX are you planning on using with it?

I done away with my pc about 10 years ago. When tablets came out, phones getting better. But had to buy a cheap one just to run cleanflight and betaflight.
Then freerider came out.
so I bought it as the pc runs window 8. 1
Only to find the graphics card is a potato.
It's a Dell 755 I think.
For £60. Very basic but it's been going nearly 2 years. I kept meaning to get a new card but it's on Google play & I can use my fsi6 with my tablet. Better just to get out there. I work 10 hours shifts so I don't wanna waste time in front of the gogglebox, partially why I took up this hobby.

... "FPV Freerider" ain't too bad, then there's also "DRL" available on Steam (which I haven't had time to tweak enough to make worth even flying)
and my all time favorite, "Liftoff" (also on Steam) which I consider to be about the best sim out there ;) ...

... You want to use a TX that has some sort of port (ideally a micro-usb port) so it's able to be plugged into the computer.
The idea is that by using the actual radio you'd fly the quad with in real life on the sim you gain the skill and muscle memory,
both of which are directly applicable to really flying, as opposed to using a joystick, gamepad, or other device which won't transfer
as well to your experience level when you're actually flying. ;)

Yea youll need a computerized TX or something like a 4channel spektrum dx4 tx which usually ships with more expensive flight sims. Regardless you should get a main tx to controll all your stuff. Something cheap like a fllysky i6x will do.

I fail to understand the last few entries to my thread. They seem to have little to do with why I created the thread in the first place.

 ... The point being using a joystick, keyboard or gamepad to fly a sim will NOT really improve your flying of a real quad.
Also the cheap radios that come with toy quads won't plug into any sims.

You need a decent radio to fly the sims with to begin with AND then you can control your real quads with that radio too ;)

the point of the one that got deleted was that if you need a pc to run some particular app, you can get one for about $30 if it's a toshiba netbook.

 ... A cheap notebook may be fine for using betaflight, cleanflight, libre, etc, BUT if you want decent flyable performance for sim use
you'll need something a bit more upscale to get the graphics card that can handle the necessary frame rates, resolutions, and other capabilities
to make even a lean program run effectively.

I have FPV Freerider. But like said, no point in getting any sim if you're not going to use the same TX that you use to fly your quads. You can use any TX as long as it has a trainer port and with Freerider there's no tricky setup, just a quick stick calibration and you're good to go. To connect, I got the Phoenix flight sim, it's got all the cables to connect to basically any TX
