Looking for recommendations on choosing rotors and motors based on weight

Hey All,
I'm currently working at a lab that wants me to build a quadcopter out of mycelium (a part of mushrooms). This material is incredibly light and durable (more so than many commercial plastics), so we thought this would be a cool application for such a material. However, my own experience with quadcopters (especially building them from scratch) is quite limited. Is there any general advice to be given for a copter such as this? The body itself is still being constructed, but it's likely to be about 8-9 inches between corners (where I plan to attach the motors). It'll likely be under a kilogram. I'm especially curious how to figure out what motors (and of what strength) I'll need to make this thing fly well.

Hi 9 inches is small so you need to work out the max prop size due to arm length this will then give you an idea of what motors may be needed also how wide are the arms this will affect motor size too
