Lipo batteries

Hi guys , recently bought my son a jxd509g quadcopter and with it coming with only one battery I purchased some more off amazon. Now the one that came with the quad lasts around six minutes where as these last a max of 2 mins one lasted24 seconds. Was wondering if this is normal. They are 3.7v 600mah. Or if you can recommend any better batteries.
Kind regards
David.

All I can say is that you probably got a bit unlucky. There's such a wide variety of choices that I can't recommend any specific battery.
But if you want the best performance, you can always buy branded ones. Some good companies are Turnigy, ThunderPower, Gens Ace, Zippy, etc.
Recommendation: Try to stick to the stock capacity (weight) unless you think the quad can take a heavier battery; or could do with a lighter battery for a bit more power.
Of course, deviate from the stock battery capacity by only around 50-150mah.

Thx Jordan I'll try the branded ones. So the ones I have purchased basically are rubbish. They should last longer. ?

David.

You won't find any 'branded' ones, except for 1 Turnigy 750mAh.

This one seems to be wired right (check your lead), it is just tad bigger than the standard 500mAh Syma batterries.

Read the reviews.

I use one of these (the exact one) in a quad I have, it too should fit. Seems fine

Note though it was made in 2013.

Thx Jackson. I'm in the uk so I'll try and search for those over here. Does it matter being 750 mah and not 600 mah.

David.
