LED doesn't work and setting is not saved in Betaflight

My LEDs stopped working after I flashed the FC with a new firmware. Now, Betaflight doesn't even want to save the setting where I turn on LED Strip in Configuration at all. I turn on LED_STRIP but when I reboot it is still off. Do you guys have any idea why?

I have a Omnibus Betaflight F3 Flight controller.

The LED strip is correctly soldered to the FC with signal, 5v, and ground... at least I think so. It worked before I updated the firmware.
 
Post a pic of your solderd board.
I don't use led's anymore. are they turned on in cli or rated the right voltage I thought the led pins are 3.3v
When I did use them I just ran them on the 12v from the pdb. Just a visual aid for late evening fly.

There is a designated place for LEDs on the FC, so I soldered in here. The LED worked with light before I updated the firmware, so I think 5v is ok.

I have asked several other fpv pilots and they have never had this kind of problem... so I guess something is not working right on hardware level here. I just remembered I have to led strips, so I will remove the first and try the second one to see if that works.

If it doesn't, it has something to do with the FC.
 
What else do you have wired into the board. Check all amp usage of components. It may exceed the output.
What amperage are the leds rated.
First time I've noticed them being 5v to be honest
