just came back from a morning flight, was good but i think i went too early cus the sun was so bright in an angle cus i took off like a deuce in the middle of the night and got blinded by the light!!

it was scary at first cus i took off and i hear this crazy grinding sound im oMG WHAT NOW - and i took it down and i assume was maybe some thread lock got in there (cus i put threadlock on my motor bolts yesterday) so i blew on it and it was ok, then i landed (keep landing on my back today though :( )

i should have sprayed the quad down with compressed air but i forgot to D: i set the voltage alarm to 3.5 and came back with about 13% battery left, which is about twice what i had before when i set it to 3.4 and would come down with like 6% lol, so hopefully the battery wont fail so easily now, charging it up for another flight.

also i got some GEL loctite glue (im hooked on gel adhesives now thanks to jackson) and im gonna take apart my quanum v2 and put it together nicely (before i just shoved it in with no glue, but now its falling apart inside, also i forgot to take the screen plastic off!! so hoping for some nice visual improvement after i take it off :D

Those voltage alarms are usually off (at least mine is.) I've got mine set at 3.4V, by the time it lands and I check the battery with an actual meter it's at ~3.6V. Seems fine to me.

yeah i noticed that too, sometimes i will land and have 15-20% battery (i always bring it down as soon as it starts beeping) just flew a pack and it came home with 6% fuel left :S

btw i found out that the clicking noise was my vtx antenna was loose....sure was scary when everything went grey, but i managed to make out small shapes in the static and bring it down close to me and land it. so thats next on my preflight check list - make sure the vtx antenna is on nice and tight!!

cant wait to get my runcam and record a video of the flight!!!!!!! spent all my money on a tube amp though :( hoping i can get one asap next monht!! also gonna get a clover antenna for my quanums xD

I just had an insanely good flight, best flight i have had so far. i was at my parents house and then went to the huge field near their place, and it just felt like pure freedom and unlimited space compared to the park i normally fly at where i have to watch out for trees - i flew like a total pro today!!! was tearing it up full speed then i put it in rattitude and just rocketed around like a mad man and then i put it in rate mode and flew up very high and then i could hear the dubstep in my head as i did front front flip flip flip flip flip side flip flip sidenfkgtnfdgka fdfkajdsf I WAS KILLING IT it was beautiful - true art in motion!!

and then my voltage alarm started beeping and i put it back in attitude and slowly descended towards me at an incline, and landed perfectly just a few feet in front of me :D if i had my runcam it would have been an amazing video - hoping to get my runcam asap - im really starting to get good at this!

this morning was weird, i had my lipo fully charged, and then i went out and started flying in rate mode - i was KILLING IT, i did like 5 barrel rolls and 7 front flips, but then after like 5 minutes of flying, all of a sudden my voltage alarm went off, and when i came back down, i had 2.85 volts per cell!!!!! so i quickly ran home and put it on the charger....but why didn't my voltage alarm go off sooner? i had it set to 3.5v!!!
