So after all those posts I made back in the day when I was a quadcopter virgin newbie, I have now been through A Syma X8G that Tenergy gave to me to do a review for if anyone wants to see it I'll send you think link on my Youtube i'ts pretty funny. , 2 Hubsans X4s one with FPV and goggles, not the greates, WLtoys 668 FPV, black friday special from Gearbest I just noticed I've got some posts about those so ignore what I said about the video, lol Couple Of JJRCs 2 and a little selfie quad that I just lost, and that's what brings me to the reason for this post.

Anyhow see if you guys can help me figure this out, I live on a 1/4 acre with a a manufactured home smack dab in the middle and a little upstairs apartment in the back. I reluctantly fly on the property because there are tall trees and a little pond where I have had a couple dunks in, luckily one of the JJRCs is water resistant, but I digress, I bought this little guy
on Amazon about a month ago in the video it's made by spacekey but the one I bought is DBpower same quad though just gold color, probably would have been better to get it in a brighter color like blue or red, anyway I've been happily flying it on the property on and off taking nice video etc, crash here and there nothing major with the prop guards on each time I was able to rely on live video to find it, than this happened about 5 or so days ago, by the way it has barometer altitude hold and headless mode and that may play a role in what happened, anyhow I was flying in headless mode I think not sure about that, about 20 feet high over the rear right part of the manufactured not sure if it was by sight or FVP on the phone app, and suddenly I lost site of it, I look on the phone and it sends a frozen video image of what looks like the corner of the manufactured roof, than without warning it sends another image of what appears to be landed and in the still video you can see what looks like dirt in the front, damn this is a long story, sorry about that, anyway you can see the back apartment and it's stairs, I think the image was frozen and the battery was getting low. I tried to save the image and it didn't save, in hindsight I should have screenshot it, I did show it to my wife and we both have the image burned in our memory, we both have photo memories, I tried the throttle to see if I could hear it, and I did hear it not for long so I know it was close by. I don't believe I engaged the take off button.

I have to say mini drones have come a long way since I last visited here, anyhow, I went to the presumed spot where the last video came from and it was not there, I probably should have come back out after dark to see if the lights were still blinking but waited too long, I presume if the battery was dying the lights probably weren't on anyway. My wife and I have scoured the area I've beat the bushes and nothing, I checked the pond and nothing, I checked the outside perimeter where I presume it may have jump the fence and nothing We are both at a loss, thank goodness it doesn't use a SD card or we would have lost some great video and photos. It couldn't have flown away I would have seen it, next move will be to search with a treasure metal detector I have, I know your probably thinking what's the big deal it's just a cheap selfie drone and I get that, but if it was a Mavic well those are pretty big, or something more valuable like a Yuneec selfie that goes for like $300, it's like it just disappeared into another dimension, any thoughts on what may have happened to it and where it may have disappeared to? Thanks guys for reading and any help you may offer.

To be honest I don't bother trying to read a 'wall of text' post. You need to break it down into paragraphs.
Fair enough, I didn't realize I did that I will break it up, I appreciate the feedback. Hopefully that's better.

I read the whole thing but only question is near the bottom and not something anyone can really answer your guess is as good as ours (probably better since you were there at least :) ). If you're looking for what to do about it if it were a more expensive one then ideally it would have GPS on board and you would have the last known GPS location, you can also buy little standalone GPS trackers or bluetooth beacons that run off their own power (in case battery gets tossed). The LaForge v4 modules I got for my goggles has a 'find my quad' mode where it can use the directional antenna to get a good idea of which direction to keep walking usually I've relied on either my battery buzzer going off or seeing LEDs on my quad or the motors kicking on from ESC idle timeout and hear it chirping in a bush or a tree.

Regarding your post would say good to load the questions and info up front and leave the details/story for later to get more responses.
