hubsan transmitter battery mod advice

Hi all , i recently did a lipo battery conversion on my H107D+ transmitter , i also installed a buck converter and set it to 6 v (same as 4 x AA's) it was all working well .
I have just tried to turn it on after a week or so of no use but the lipo is dead flat .. have i missed something , or does the battery need disconnecting after every use ?
battery i used is Giant power 450 mah 3s

As long as you have the converter hooked up to the battery it is using some juice.

For an electronic circuit, a quiet state in which the circuit is driving no load and its inputs are not cycling. Most commonly used for the specification "quiescent current," the current consumed by a circuit when it in a quiescent state.

Look on the PCB for the voltage, here's a Hubsan TX (yours might be the same.)

I'd opt for 2S LiPo with no converter.

Ahh yes , I see there’s an led on the buck covertor on , , the board does say 4-13 volts , I thought i thought the battery would last longer and be less heat using the buck ..
Could I just wire the main switch before the converter ?

I got a buck converter but no led on it.
Just mod a female socket onto it so can be unplugged. Xt30 are solid units. Just as much space as servo pins in the end.
So thing to hot glue around.
