HELP! SOS my quad will not arm!

hello all! this is my first build and i have made a 250 class racing quad. i have a kk2 flight controller on it and i have it responding to the remote and i have the motor layout set. i just can not arm it. i push my throttle stick to the left like i was told in other forums and in youtube videos but nothing happens
PLEASE HELP!

Go into misc settings and change arm from AUX to stick. Also before you arm check everything under receiver test, have you flashed the KK board yet?
 
Thank you sooooo much i didn't know what that meant. and yes i have flashed it. just one thing, when i look through all the misc. settings i found nothing about arming. i found self level though

do i need to update the board? i don't have the software flashing tool and am a little gun-shy about flashing because last time i tried to flash a board it was a cc3d and i perminently screwed it up. although, it was a very cheap clone too.

Never known anyone to brick a KK board while flashing, though I know it is possible. If you have a 6 pin Atmel flash tool then defiantly flash with Stevies 1.8 firmware, the flash tool makes it really quick and easy. I have read his, Lightening Thief, Heroes of Olympus, and the Kane Chronicles. Waiting for the Magnus Chase series to be done to read it hahaha. When I first started reading his books he had not finished the Lightening Thief series haha.
 
ugh ohs. there is no setting about changing arming from Aux. to stick :(. what version do i have to be on, i am currently on HW 2.1.x and FW ver 1.19s1 pro according to the board. Thanks for the help,

You don't need a flash tool, you have the latest Steveis FW already which has everything 1.18S1 has and more.

Maybe this will help with your arming.

Actually 1.8 has more than 1.9 (his updates are not always serial, but either is good)

@Di Immortales Can you give us a short video of your procedures in trying to arm it?
