Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my gimbal, as i think i rushed in a brought one that isn't very good. i appreciate and feedback on what you are using. id like to keep it to go pro size and non dji compatible. main uses like most people really I'm after some great video footage.

cheers

What frame is it going on? I have the Tarot T4-3D and although I haven't used it in the air yet, I have it set up and it's smooth and quiet.

Which one is it?
Feiya-tech 3D mini gimbal, I've just tried firming up the damping balls, but still as crap as before.

I have added a longer gimbal rail, 50cm which I'm sure isn't helping but not sure what else to do, so it's going to be a slow process of elimination. Hopefully it won't cost a fortune!!

Hi All, another curve ball from the guy that wants it to all work perfectly but without buying it all ready done!!! my own worse enemy...

changes I've made recently which seem to be causing the problem, but wanted some thoughts to see if any one else has come across.

tarot 650,
1. Went from 12" props to 1555
2. increase gimbal rail to 50cm (similar to Ringalongs rig)
3. ordered 12mm carbon tubes but using original bungs fro mounts so a much tighter squeeze (would this increase vibrations?)

quad is balanced with a 4s 8000mah at the back and the feiya-tech 3d mini at the front

sorry one last question, how can I remove the cameras setting from showing up on the lcd receiver screen, its blocking the osd info!!!

this is the last one, had a go last night and had put some pretty well balanced 1447 on and increased the gains by 5 points. on giving it some welly it start to have what i can only say as a tank slapper.... and took at leat 5-10 seconds to regain stability, bloody scary!

thanks from a frustrated Englishman! i will also post this in general discussions

"ordered 12mm carbon tubes but using original bungs fro mounts so a much tighter squeeze (would this increase vibrations?)"

It could. You want the most cushion without compromising stability, and its a fine line. Is there vibration in the video?

yes lots, but not sure if its the bungs, larger props or longer gimbal tubes? or all three!!!

To be honest Renov8r, No! Can they be that far off balance?

I've seen a couple of ways, lazier pointing at mirror that's attached to arm of quad and small lazet attached to the arm... What would you suggest?

Cheers Billy

I tried it on small motors with the mirror and lazer method and gave up. I did get good results but no matter what type of tape I tried, just kept coming off. I think it would be more beneficial on larger motors. The one thing I noticed watching videos is how much just the stickers can throw them off balance.
