Gimbal and Questions on the 501S

Thanks for all of the insights I have received on this board.. A few more questions. What is the "gimbal" feature do? Looking at the models that have it, it looks expensive. Is it necessary to get good video?

The Husband 501S has been recommended for the $275 price range. How would you rate the quality of the video of the 501S for drones in that category?

RogerK had a lot of vids, seems he's deleted them.

With no gimbal you will have to be a very careful and precise flyer as every slight flight adjustment shows up in the vid.

A gimbal will automatically try to compensate for any movements (pitch, roll etc.) of the quad and hopefully maintain a level horizon.
