Hi Community,

I have been building my first quad, and when I have gone to test it, it flips on takeoff.

I have the below specs:
openpilot cc3d
4 x DYS 2830-14 750kv
4 x 14x4.7 props (cw & ccw)
Hobbypower simonk 30a esc w/ bec 490mhz
Turnigy 30-40c 1000mah 4.s (testing battery)
frsky x8r reciever
taranis plus transmitter

I have gone through the calibrations settings on openpilot, checked the neutral points, however when I apply power, it flips on take off.

I have checked the following:
- Checked and double checked motor spin in right direction.
- Checked props are on the right motors.
- Checked the orientation of the cc3d controller.
- Checked the gyro was level on the surface.

I have been on youtube and found the above tips, but it still occurs...

I have also found one of my motors seems to lag behind, so I replaced it.

I am fresh out of ideas... any help is appreciated.

Have you checked for correct motor placement? That 1234 are in fact correct? You don't have a prop on upside down perchance?

calibrated taranis transmitter (sticks and pots) ? on the transmitter itself

double check inputs and mixes in taranis -- make sure no channels wrongly configured,, check channel movement on display and see if any other channels move when throttle is applied on its own ..
