First Build Setup

Hello everyone

I've wanted to build my own quadcopter for quite a while and after doing some research and looking at the available parts, this is what I have come up with:

FC: MultiWii SE V2.0
Frame: TBS Discovery
Motor: NTM Prop Drive 28-26 1000KV / 235W
ESC: Turnigy Multistar 20A V2 ESC
Props: 9x4.7 SF Carbon Fiber
Battery: ZIPPY Compact 5000mAh 3S 25C
Transmitter/recever: Turnigy 9X 9Ch

I chose this flight controler, because it is compatibele with GPS.

I plan on flying for fun and putting my Sony action cam on there for filming.
I'm not sure about the motor, but I don't know what motor would be better. Also I don't know what charger to get for the battery.

Hopefully some more experienced quadbuilders can give their advice :)

Take a look into the Runcam action camera, (unless you already have the sony). Everything looks good, except a PDB (if not integrated in the frame) and a few changes I'd make.

First I would switch to 11''-12'' props probably 4.7 pitch, and some 30-40 amp ESCs for future upgrades and some overhead.

This charger is cheap, simple, and will allow your batteries to last a LONG time, (if you don't run them too hard)

This charger is a little more, will do everything you might need, and has the option of higher amp charge.

First of all thank you for your reply.
I already have the sony cam :)
I'll look into those propellors and ESCs.
What do you mean by 'if you don't run them to hard'? and what is the benefit of the more expensive one over the cheaper one?
I'm new to this type of batteries and how to charge them so I'm happy with your advice.

I mean if you don't abuse them; if you don't run them too low, charge them too fast, or run them more than their C rate.
