Hello all!

I recently got my filthy paws on a DJI Mavic Pro, and in the process of learning more about drones in general and aerial photography, I figured I would join a forum filled with such illustrious experts as yourselves!

The rules for drones in Japan are still a little grey, but I look forward to it all!

Hey there and welcome. The Mavic is a great UAV. I love mine - so portable!

Good luck - as long as you use common sense and stay away from the restricted areas you should be fine.

Indeed, some guy was flying a mavic over the crowds at the fireworks festival last week. Four cops came over and busted him. It's a $5000 fine, not to mention putting people in danger flying it so high up over people's heads.

flying it so high up over people's heads.

Yup, it's a no,no. We here in the USA are still waiting on a final definition as to what "near" means according to the FAA.

Koku, now that you have been properly introduced please post comments / questions in the appropriate category IE:

Would go in General Discussion otherwise it may get missed by members.
