R ram1000 Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2015 #1 I see a few You Tube videos flashing ESC's. I bought 4 DYS units that said they were Simon something. Will I have to flash these things before powering up(how would I do that), or is it ready to operate?

ringolong Well-Known Member Aug 18, 2015 #2 It sounds like they are preflashed with simonk firmware so you should be good to go. There are tools out there to flash to a different firmware like blheli.
