in brief, please post cost effective purchases for odds and ends!

couple weeks ago i ordered a box of m2 hex screws.. someone said their quad showed up without screws to mount the props, i figured i'd need extra (i did!)

i only needed m2 at present but i had to buy an assortment of different length m2 screws , which was a bit pricey. bloody fasteners, they ream you. sure i'll appreciate the assortment in the future but being "nickeled and dimed" for these kinds of purchases can add up.

eg.... i guess the battery connector for the 260mAh 1s for the eachine e011 is a "micro JST" if i heard that correctly... i got a 300mAh 1s that has... i guess it's a "nano JST" as it looks just like the micro but it half the size.....

..so unless i fenangle a connector out of plasticene i'm going to need to buy some micro JST connectors.

and in the future, i figure, i'll proabably be buying a bunch of other connectors.

so...... how can i obtain these commonly used components without spending hundreds in total? let us know if you've found any "good scores" on these fiddly extra bit kind of thingys.

well, we have slightly different budgets :)

that's $6.95 for 20 pairs of micro JST connectors. it may seem reasonable when you look at the picture with all the wires in it, but when it comes down to it, the thing you want is only the tiny little plastic saddle, and so you're paying $7 for ...maybe $0.10 cents worth of parts.

like my box of m2 screws was between $4 and $5, and sure, there's an assortment of m2 lengths, but ultimately, if i only ever use the m2*8, then there's only about a dozen of them, again, worth maybe $0.25 total.

for me, at least, $5 here, $7 there, adds up to all the free capital i have in a given period. i'm also, like... geez, $7 for just 20 tiny pieces of plastic? i cannot do that, on principle.... even if i were a millionaire, with my background, i'd have to swallow a lot of humility to pay that.

you know.. it's an economic opportunity for someone i guess, they could buy these parts in bulk, then sell "quad hobbyist kits" where you get an assortment of quad-specific components for a lower price than buying all the jizz separately.

i'll have to check mouser instead of banggood :)
