Drone motor speed fluctuates

The drone I am working on is having some motor calibration issues it seems.

When I arm the drone and and very lightly push the throttle to its very minimum setting, the motors start spinning equally and then motors 2 and 3 begin ramping up speed on its own. I have calibrated the motors several times and have had no results. I've done a little messing around with PID but didnt notice any changes related to this problem.

When I use CleanFlight to test the motors using the Master Slide button, all the motors start at 1117 and stay at a constant and equal RPM, its only when I use the controller does it misbehave.

  • CC3D Storm, flashed to Betaflight to use CleanFlight.
  • Arris 12A ESC
  • Tried recalibrating several times.
  • Minimum command is below maximum throttle
  • FlySky FS-T6 controller
Here is a video to provide better troubleshooting help. Watch the 2nd and 3rd motor ramp up in speed on their own.

Have you also calibrated your ESC's?

Have you got the ground wires from all 4 ESC's connected to the CC3D. Some ESC's make your motor sact up if you just connect the signal wire

My motors are calibrated, but I did not see what part in the video where he calibrated his ESCs.

I also want to mention it is not my receiver, I determined that from within cleanflight.

thanks for the response.

I've done this at least 6 times now after nearly dissembling my drone. If I slide the master switch, the motors will stay even and appear healthy, but when I lightly push the throttle, it will keep ramping up.

Watch the video i posted. You can see its armed and I bump the throttle a little and leave it where its at... Motor 2 and 3 will start increasing RPM on its own.
