Drone advise needed for a beginner

Welcome and good luck!
I am sure you will get dozens of recommendation.
My one thought is buy the best quad you can afford to lose. Because you will either crash it or lose it.

I started with an $80 mini. It was crashed and kept coming back for more. After 5 years I finally broke a prop guard. So something to be said for light weight quads. They are more likely to walkway from a crash.

Have fun!

Even though it's a couple years old, I still think the Tarantula X6 is one of the best starter quads. Big enough to be stable in the wind and fairly durable, replacement parts are readily available. 3 flight modes so you can increase speed and reaction as your skills grow. I still fly mine on occasion, it's a blast!

I agree. I have one and it's survived 2 years of abuse. And the camera (optional ) is not terrible. The FPV ( optional) sucks
