DIY Camera mount, top vs bottom

Hi Guys,

I ordered a RunCam2 for my Syma X8C. I'm planning on doing a mount similar to the one described here:

I'm not a big fan of legs, props and prop guards showing in the videos. So I'm thinking of doing one of two options:
1. Do a mount similar to the one one the video above, but a bit taller so that the camera is further down.
2. Do a mount similar to the video above, maybe a bit taller too, but instead mount it on top of the quadcopter.

Based on your own experiences which option would you recommend?

Thanks!

These will bolt right up . Need to be 1 or 2.

But with a seller called snakewang, who knows. :)

To settle this thread, it seems the way to go is mount underneath mainly because of the center of gravity. I've done that today with "ok" results, but I know I can do better so I'll be experimenting a bit more.
