Digital and analog servos (HS and FS mode)

I have this transmitter module and receiver in my Turnigy 9XR Pro radio:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14355__FrSky_DF_2_4Ghz_Combo_Pack_for_JR_w_Module_RX.html

I read the following warning in the FrSky manual: “Warning: HS mode is only applied for high-speed digital servos. Other servos should select FS mode, otherwise servos will get hot and may burn out.”

I have these motors:
- D2830-11 1000kv
- AX-2810Q-750KV

Just a minor warning, but it has brought me a lot of questions and haven’t found answers yet. Does anyone have an idea about the following questions:
  1. What is the main difference between analog and digital motors?

  2. How do you recognize whether you have a digital or analog motor?

  3. Is this something you also have to configure within your FC? Because I see in the open pilot (CC3D) software the option to select standard speed or rapid*. Has this something to do with HS and FS mode?

  4. Or is this question irrelevant because the receiver is connected to the FC, the FC to the ESC and ESC to the motor?
I'm curious about your experiences for these challenges.
