Crashed quadcopter cause??

So iv crashed my quadcopter many times, however the last two times have been the exact same but i cant figure out the cause. I suspect its a possible faulty esc. Im using 20A Afro ESC.

Both times i was flying for longer than usual, 10min<. Both times I was flying aggressively during the flight, but was basically hovering when the crash took place. It sounds like the motor or propeller gets caught in something and is trying to spin but cant. Loud aggressive crunching or vibration kind of noise and the quadcopter just drops from the sky rapidly.

I suspect it may be my second esc because it takes longer to calibrate than my other three, which beep and go green at the exact same time every time i plug the lipo in. The suspected faulty one takes around 3 seconds longer of flashing red before it goes green and finally beeps. Sometimes that motor doesnt spin when i first give it some throttle and i have to go back to zero throttle before giving some throttle again to get it to spin with the rest of the motors.

It has never been water damaged but may have taken a beating over a few other crashes iv had where iv broken arms, legs, props etc.

Any help at all is appreciated because i dont want to keep spending money on repairs, or my quad to crash onto people or in water..
Quadcopter: S500, Multistar 2213 935kv, 20A afro esc, 4s 5200Mah lipo, tgy-i6 tx

thanks

Have just watched back the flight footage and realised the loud vibration noise and crash took place about 15 seconds after a long bout of full throttle ( 4-5 seconds) which i dont normally do. If this ads to the evidence that it may be a faulty esc please let me know. Is there anything i can do to check if the esc is faulty?

Well the first thing to check would be the length of your motor mounting screws. Sometimes they are too long and can scrape the motor windings. Pull the motor and look from the bottom for any scratches on the windings.

Thank for your reply, I checked there and all seems to be fine. Im using the screws that came with the motors so i hope theyre the correct length

So Iv just tried to manually calibrate my esc. My other esc's beep three times and then once every four seconds waiting for me to move my throttle to zero, however my second (suspected faulty) esc beeps twice and does not beep every few seconds. I think ill just order a new esc.
