Caught in the act of stupidity?

Jim Jeffries is pretty good with regard to his standup I haven't seen the show before, but he is fairly well known because of a standup bit he did ranting about gun control laws in the US and how we just tend to not react to mass shootings and just tearing up the counter arguments that pro gun people put out there. It is a tough topic for sure since Americans tend to carry the attitude of "don't tread on me" and greatly value their "freedom", but at the same time we have major mental health issues and very little in the way of gun control. The argument of people illegally getting guns doesn't really sway me, less availability is less availability, I'm not as concerned about the occasional rogue criminal who is motivated enough to seek out a weapon I'm worried about every joe bob and frank being able to waltz into a department store and come out with arms and ammunition (one of Jim Jeffries other bits he talks about wandering into a store with a chainsaw running and just telling everyone he needs it for the safety of his family and see how people react, yet do the same with an AR and it's perfectly okay)

The school shootings have been going on since I was a kid, in fact before.
I used to listen to my uncles records as a kid. One of them was Boomtown rats
I don't like Mondays. It livened up the day. Sadly there is ppl like that. Ws she on the psycho like that kid in the cinema a few years back. I doubt it. Humans will always finda way to kill each other be it guns stick rock shiv piano wire truck acid or just plain old bore the ears off someone.

Sure there will always be psychopaths and homicidal people wouldn't argue we have any chance of outright eliminating that but it's much harder to kill 20-100 people with acid or a knife plus you don't typically have knives going off and stabbing kids or hitting the "wrong" target.

It's messed up. You never hear anything about the manufacturering.
Sales yes, but Tony stark is laughing all the way to the fed.

Going on this morning on tv about the 3d printed weapons. A bit slow with this one I thought. Unless modified they ain't firing a round. Why none of this about porcelain guns. They can get through customs. Take all the weapons away, someone will still make a bow & arrow.
Its not right that anyone dies but until you get down to that point where their is non left. A lot of innocent people are going to die & are dying. Same the other way add more guns it adds to the toll.
We could go round in circles but I'm getting off here.

Well thing is regarding manufacturers they are just making a product that we as a nation have agreed is a totally fine product to make, so I don't really put much blame on them, they are creating the supply but it wouldn't exist if there was no demand for it and/or laws that restrict who can manufacture what. Since 3d printers became commercially available some guy Cody who has a law degree 3d printed a gun just to prove then point that anyone could do it not that it makes a practical gun. We have restrictions on people not being able to buy large quantities of high energy explosive chemicals and on sales of rocket launchers and hand grenades it's not that we can't have or enforce laws that restrict access to certain weapons it's just a matter of where you want to draw the line. A big problem of mine with ''pro gun" side is I think all of their arguments for why they need a gun are unconvincing at best.

you can't say it's OK to manufacture but not OK to buy. If you want rid. Goto the source. If a criminal has a gun, & shooting ppl is that not enough to want one to protect yourself. 2nd ammendment or not. You roped me in again lol

Well I feel so much safer at Kentucky Fried Chicken when these patriots are there.

Haha sorry but yah I mean if you have laws in place restricting sales/distribution then the high volume demand goes away and the manufacturers go away (or continue just selling to governments, I don't think we can really make it illegal to mfg though or is harder to crack down on compared to distribution or possession basically)

Should just be produced for armed forces only.
Another argument is the government that doesn't wash these days, they don't need guns if they wanted to kill everyone.
