CARBON FIBER 320 SIZE QUAD AND DX6

I think I didn't explain clearly. On your current setup, the + & - ESC power leads go to the PDB. The BEC leads go to the FCB. Remove the positive lead from the connectors on 3 of the BEC leads by lifting the retaining tab and sliding the wire from the connector. Fold it back and wrap a piece of electrical tape around it to hold it to the other 2 leads. Make sure the pin is covered so it can't short. Leave the 4th lead to the FCB intact. That will power your FCB. I assume you are powering your FPV gear with a JST connector from your battery connector. I would put a ferrite barrel on that as well. The only thing that will change when you switch to opto ESC's is you will need a UBEC . You can power it by using a Y connector to your JST or soldering the power leads to your PDB. You will need this to power your FCB. Get either the one from Castle Creations, which is factory set at 5.1v, or the KDE which is manually adjustable from 5v - 12v. Considering the problems you've had don't go cheap on the UBEC. The Castle is very, very low noise. The KDE is ZERO noise. You can mount it next to or on top of other components without a problem. There are numerous youtube videos on all the ways you can wire this up. I'm sure you will be able to find one that will work best on your quad. What I described was a very general layout.

Perfect. And thank you very much. This makes more sense now. I agree with you. At this point, there is no reason to mess around. I'm thinking new OPTO ESCs and a UBEC. Will the 20a ESCs make any difference to the motors I'm using? Is it only going to use whatever amperage it NEEDS? Also, The way im powering the FPV is using an adaptor to fit the balance plug. I assume this is OK? Would it be better to power it off the UBEC?

It's fine to use a ESC slightly larger than needed. The motors will only draw what they need. Some of the guys here use 30a ESC's for everything they build unless it's a really large multi. The balance plug adapter should be fine. You might still try a ferrite barrel on it to be safe. BTW if you opt for the Castle creations Quad Pack ESC's I sent you a link to you won't need a UBEC. It comes with 1 BEC live and 3 disabled. These are very fine products. I sure hope this fixes your problem. I can't imagine what else could cause the issues you described. Good luck!

HD, I don't know where you are, but if you ever find yourself in Colorado, Hit me up. You deserve a beer for all your help. That goes for everyone else too!
