Big hello from Italy (newbie)

Maxwoodpecker

Woodworker loving wood!!
Hi to all of you, i'm very happy to be part of you!! (sorry for my english, i'll do my best....;))
I'm a very very newbie, i haven't jet had anything to do with any chind of rc. I have been serching and youtoobing for a cupple of week, and found out that my most scary thing, once built everything, is the tuning!!!! I know how a pc works, but i'm not very good at fiddling with it, i don't understand much of programming.... The pro thing is that i'm quite good with hand crafts, with building and sodering and stuff like that. So i might be able to build wonderfull quadcopter but not been able to tune it so it can fly correctly!!!
From what i have learnt fron my serches is: the propellors get energy from the motor. The motor speed is controlled by the ESC. The ESC is plugged into the "brain", the brain is plugged into a reciver that talks to the transmitter (that should be the "thing" in my hand to pilot the drone). I also understand that there are a tons of chind of everything!!!!! Like, in the brain can be also connected a gps, a fpv controller and also a gibal controller. Plus other staff.

Now, my future budget will be around €400/500 at the most. I will use it primary for privat and hobby arial video and if i could have it flying for around 20 minutes it would be grat!!. Can i have a brain that has at least a cupple of ways to fly(maybe autoleveling, if i leave the stics it will stay still, and semy manual and full manual), that i can in the future plug a gps stabilization system, a sjcam 4000 fpv and a gimbal controller?

And now acupple of other questions:)( i will put numbers on the questions so it will be easier to answer....):
1- is the f450 frame ok for my project?
2- Propellors, are the 1045 ok for my purpose? How do they work? The bigger the better? Smaller but more/less angle better? Help!!!
3- Motors(is it right that the lover the kv means the more power??), how much power do i need? What's the best combine for propellors/motors?
4- Flight controller(the brain if i'm not wrong), which one should i choose so i will not get creazy tuning it but enought to satisfy my needs?
5- Reciver, does there exist a "multy" reciver, depending on how many things i need to comand or there is just a recive that does everything?
6- I have an sjcam sj4000 action cam. I would like to use this one for now to shoot videos and also to do the fps. Is that possible?
7- Most important, wich transmittere should i buy?? How many channels, with or without lcd, ecc ecc??
8- i would like to place che camera ON the drone and not hanging under, does there exist a 1 or 2 way gimbal?

Wow, i didn't think i had soooooooo many questions:p.Sorry for that. Hope not to bother you with theese tons of questions, but i thought i might do it all at once so i could have a better prospective on were i am going to land in.....
One last question( but i don't know if i'm aloud to...), were could i buy everything in Europe??

Thanks for the patience.:D:D

Sorry, after all this saying i forgot to tell you that tomorrow i will recive Syma X11 2.4G 4CH Mini 6 assi Gyro RC Quadcopter to learn to fly with.. hope it will be ok. I also purched 6 spare batteys.

Nice looking mod BTW.

Looks like a bottom feeder, did you make it?

Well I'll just throw this up here with a few comments.

Props are matched to the motors you choose. Compare the the 11V numbers for each prop. Under AMPs we see that a 20A ESC will work for both. The 1047 prop will provide more thrust (it will lift more and be more responsive to throttle ), but will be pulling ~45% more AMPs than the 9047. But that ~45% more AMPs only increases the 9047's thrust by ~14%. So we end up with about ~25% lower efficiency, which in general will result in shorter flight times. For these motors a 1045 prop (less aggressive pitch angle) will drop the AMP load a bit (and the thrust) but will probably be a decent compromise for efficiency/thrust/flight times.

You'll probably want motors similar to these , size and KV.

Hi, I got the X11 just today. I'll try and learn to fly in the next few weeks. Meanwhile I would like to start searching for the various parts for the next shopping charts.... :)
