I currently have a 22.2v 5000mAh lipo on my first quadcopter build, its pretty heavy but I have some 800kv motors with 11in props/30A esc's that have no problem lifting it off the ground.
The problem is, despite all of my calibration efforts, "hovering throttle" causes it to lift off the ground significantly. I figure the high voltages have sort of put the motors into overdrive and have caused them to be too powerful even at their base throttle. Not to mention I had an esc stop functioning, but I don't know if thats the result of too much power or what.
Does anyone see any immediate problems with a 22.2 6s 5000mAh lipo paired with 30A esc's and 800kV 300W max motors?
Ive been told to just put more inefficient props on it to cause to to create less lift, but I figure that would make my battery drain faster while giving me less power to work with.
