Hi,
I recently purchased some Quad parts from Hobbyking
Frame:

Motors:

ESC:

And Im using Turnigy 1300 mah battery with 25-35C Discharge rate
(I've used the same batteries on my RC airplane with no issues)

Ive noticed that after a minute or so of flying the quadcopter the battery gets quite hot.
I'd love some help figuring out the reason for it
I figured the discharge rate should be high enough for the quad.

The battery 25*1.3= 32.5 amps and 35*1.3=45.5 amps, all together your motors can draw up to 40 amps, so you seem to be fine if it hovers at ~30% throttle, if you fly REALLY aggressively it could become a problem

Check your solder joints, you may have a cold joint giving you resistance.
