Antenna help, a quick question.

I've opened up the dx6i and everything is clean and connected. I wanted to check the antenna is still OK. Seems fine.
Maybe I can rule that out?
My brother has a cheap tx so I might be able to try and bind that to my RX to test it.

Some thing is very strange I have never had any problems ,you didnt go into the DX6I and change its modulation type , I have never had one that would not bind , Did you set up a new model in the transmitter and try to bind then

I just appreciate the help.
Thanks a lot.

I've tried another model saved in the dx6i. No luck. Checked the modulation, set it to the auto one that it was on to start with.

All I did was go fly last weekend. Get this sat receiver plug that in, make my bind plug and try to bind.
I flew the quad practically to my door so nothing got damaged in transport anywhere.
Odd that it's being extra difficult. Does it look like I'm physically doing it correctly?

Yeah unfortunately this is the only one I have at the moment.
Just trying to think of a way to test it some other way.
I think I know someone who knows someone who is into these things. Fingers crossed.

You know I said check modulation the setting at default is Dsmx enable Dsm2 standard receiver is what its ment to be on may be worth a try if it dont work just put it back on what it is now , if modulation is wrong it will not bind the Ar6200 is DSM2
Just wished we was closer and I could sort it here where I live

hi guys,
a mate of a mate with quads doesnt have anything that would bind with my system, but he says he has a orange dsm rx, would this work with mine if mine has gone bang?

Provide a link to your Tx and we should be able to tell for sure, but it probably will.

Hi I thinks its best to sum up as this thread is getting long , You have a DX6i ( spektrum) this will work with spektrum receivers and sats it will also work with Lemon Rx inc there sats , orange Rx inc there sats , orange transmitter will also work with lemon and spektrum ( tey say they are not clones but we all know they are
Spektrun use DSM2 and DSMX, a transmitter that is DSMX will bind and work with DSMX and DSM2 , if the transmitter is DSM2 it will not work on a DSMX receiver

So you have a DX6i so this will work on a receiver thats real or clone DSM2 or DSMX

It's a r615x dsm2/dsmx so should be good by the looks of it.

Thanks for your sum up.
I might get the new RX at the weekend so I'll see how that goes.

Thanks for the help as usual.
I work in an engineering workshop so let me know if you need anything making. Turning and fabrication, some CNC stuff too.

Hi guys,
So I now have a brand new orange r615x RX from a mate or a mate.
Just come home and tried it as its glorious outside with no wind....
Still does exactly the same!
Does this mean it can only be my dx6i or can I try anything else?

Yeah,I have tried both many times.
I've plugged all of the naza unit back in to see what it says, the original RX is defo not still bound as it doesn't even have a light on at all. This means the naza just flashes yellow twice a second. I can't change mode either so defo no input to the naza.
I have no idea what else I could try. I do t want to buy another tx really. I'll see if a model shop in my area exsists.

Check.
Tried both modulation modes, with both RX now. I think I can assume the RX is OK as both behave the same. So I would prefer to use my original spektrum unit as I can then have the sat receiver too. This should be better than the orange tx, is this correct? The orange RX has 2 antennas in different planes though.

Can I do any form of test on the tx? Continuity of anything to check it is actually putting out a signal? We have some spectrum analysers at work (electro magnetics test work along with other things ) do you think I could see somehow if the antenna is outpuyying something?just trying to avoid spending £60 on another dx6i.
