Hi. I finally got my X5C-1 and it is a great machine for the money. I had mine going OK but then I noticed that one of the blades was not turning. If I flicked it, it would move and the quad would fly OK. I decided to take it apart to check if anything was around the gears and everything was going OK. All seemed fine so I put it back together and it was flying and hoovering great. Yesterday took it out and it would only go about a foot off the floor and would not fly at all. It seems to me (just a beginner) that it had no power to lift. The battery (stock one using the supplied charger until my charger gets here) was supposed to be charged but I am not sure now. The light on the supplied charger was out when it finished charging. Is there any maintenance that can be done to the shaft that the gear is on? I could not figure out how to take the gear shaft out. I did check around the gears on the motor and the shaft all seemed fine.
Does this mean the battery is no good or should I just wait for my charger to come and do them on that?
One more question. What is the trick to make sure the props are where they are supposed to be.
Thanks for any help and sorry for the long story.
Regards
Tar
It sounds like low voltage cutoff. try plugging it back in to charger. If it still has no lift then if you have a voltage tester check what the battery is outputting. What do you mean by getting the props where they should be? Are you asking about getting the CW&CCW props in the right place? If so I mark a dot on my CW props, and if the quad is facing you the top left one should be CW, and the rest alternate between CW and CCW.
Hi. I have put the battery back on the charger (USB port) and the light came on so it sounds as if you were right and that the battery was low. I will wait until the battery is charged (the light goes out) and then try it again. Oh I will be glad when I get my proper charger IMax B6 and then I will be able to look after these lipo batteries the right way.
Thanks for putting up the YouTube about the quad props. I watched it but still not sure what prop is what. Sorry but I think that is the newby in me showing up. Is there a real easy way to learn which is CW and which is CCW. I do like the idea about the dot and I will do that but I have to figure which is which first. You mentioned when facing me the top left is the CW, so is the the left rear one???
Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Thank @holtneil. What he said was that the edge that is highest from the table leads the other edge. So it is first, CW means it spins the direction of a clock.
Hi folks. Well I finally got all the blades sorted out on my Syma X5C-1. It now flies very well. I also understand now about how the props work and were they go. Thanks for all of the previous help and suggestions, they sure did help.
Now I notice one motor being a bit sticky but with a flick it goes. I have taken the quad apart to look at the motor and shaft and would like to check the shaft that is on the gear. I could not figure out a way to take it out to check it. It is the shaft that the prop fits on and has the gear at the other end to connect to the motor gear.
I have checked YouTube but could not find anything that could help me with this problem.
Any suggestions would be great.
