Only because i could not find reliable information on the web short of a dissertation on the principals of flight...

I ordered one complete with a case and antenna for a taranis. After searching the web and reading articles about firmware upgrades and bin files....

i just plugged it in, set up a model, turned my module on in the transmitter, changed the channels in the mixer page, set it to ppm and set the switch on the back to the second position and...

it auto bound to my little hubsan immediately and away i went. Will not be long before transmitters have this little chip installed from the factory, and they should.

Pull the trigger. It will work with just about anything.

A few months. Beats the tar out of the model specific modules. It will work on most of the most popular quads out.

That said, these chips should be incorporated into the transmitters. It is only a small circuit board with four small chips on them. There is no reason Frsky or any of the other companies could not do it. The transmitters themselves are still very basic in design and programming. Eventually, i see a transmitter with a touch screen and downloadable apps for just about anything that flies. They could save the module bay for antenna boosters to get more range. Android could do it in a week if they thought they could sell more than a few thousand units. Until then we do the tech crawl one application at a time, written by good meaning hobbyist's then ripped off and mass produced in china.

But hey, at least someone is making them. American companies wont touch it because they cant lock it up and ransom it for a fortune.
