3D Printed DJI Inspire replica

Looking to build a DJI Inspire replica. I have a list of parts here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxjOo8hLlaoqMFFpVnJkSC11bFE/view?usp=sharing
I need to know that what i have on the list is going to work with the DJI Inspire 1.5
I want to know if i got the right control board, if I got the right transmitter, if i need an ESC program board, and I need the link of a good battery for cheap that will make the system run.
Also need to know if I'll be able to lift an action cam (not a go-pro) It looks more like a camcorder than an action cam. Thank you for the help that i hope you can provide. I have been to other forums and not gotten very much help. I crossed out the links that i was recommended replacement parts for. If you think they will still work that would be great too.

Your list looked fine. Be nice you will be back with many, many questions and problems. You can count on it. :)

Good Luck.

What is your budget on this build?

If you are building a full size replica then the arms are 20mm from front to back, and the ones that mount to the body are 25mm. The motors are dji 3510.

I have one of these printed and partly assembled. It will be heavier than the dji it copies. I have not yet settled on flight controls - I plan to get it assembled first and weighed/ balanced to see what I will be dealing with. It has been a fun project so far. I figure I will have another month or so in getting all the parts cleaned up and assembled. Many on the forum rcgroups have finished and flown these so it looks good to go... e joy your build and use the acme thread leadscrew from banggood for the actuator to raise/lower the arms.
Enjoy!
Doug

I will post pictures when i get the parts I have sent out the orders to make 3 at 3 different 3d print hubs to figure out which is the highest quality print and then i will be flying 4 in total at the end of it all. Thats why its so important to me that i get these built with the right parts that can lift it. Im buyin g for 4 drones.

Here is a link to some pics of my Inspire in progress. I have a lot of parts left to clean up and fit and the assembled part is just a first rough fitting. It is really coming out good so far. There are also a couple of pics of a smaller quad I printed and am starting to assemble as well. Keeps me busy.... https://flic.kr/s/aHskrqKEmx

I have not got that far yet. I have not settled on a flight controller yet either, but it will have to be full featured with GPS and elevation hold, etc. Still trying to soak all that up. I want to get the machine all assembled and get a weight for it before selecting motors. It will be 4s with room for a large battery and possibly a small 2s for cameras etc. There are always lots of options when you haven't made up your mind yet.... For the small quad - I have these coming SunnySky Angel A2208 1260 KV 2600KV 2-3S Outrunner Brushless Motor Which should do the job nicely. This quad has room for a decent sized 3s battery and can spin 8". Should be a long flier as it is still pretty light.

They would be better but I would have to print longer arms to swing them. Seemed like most motors were biased for around 6" or for 10" or bigger. Not a lot at 8" for the sweet spot. Must be a less popular size range? My sk450 will swing 8 to 10" but flys smoother and much longer with the 10". I think I ran out of print space and could not print the arms much longer...

More to do with KV. Looking at this similar motor @ 1400KV :

We see more thrust and efficiency with 8" props vs. the 1260KVs.

Just curious - where are you searching out info on motors - Hobby king has the motorfinder but it seems to find way more than I want - you pretty much need to know exactly what several parameters are to thin the herd. I do not see an effective way to search out info on Banggood or the other chinese vendors do you have a link with some good info that would be good for the inexperienced?

Thanks!

Yeah it is high. I was looking for the motors and escs to come with it for that price. Might be able to get parts instead of the entire kit.

Hardly seems sporting to just buy it anyway - more fun to try and print your own.... Although, if you factor in my time spent so far - that is a screaming deal.....
