262's 4copter Adventure

Nothing more I dislike more than big bunches of ziptied messy wiring so I took a little time to clean things up and shorten some wires.

The little protonZ is just like flying the 250 except it doesn't do as much damage when I crash it into things...like the wall, the coffee table & the TV :p

Ahhh... I missed what you were getting at obviously... But I think a different platform is in order anyway. the ProtoZ is not a good flyer, even as green as I am I can feel how slow it is to react to input from the controller, reminds me of a big slow boat... Sometimes the ProtoZ just ignores commands from the radio all together which gets very annoying in short order.

Picked up another little RTF to play with...what I'd really like to find is a small FPV that I could fly with my Taranis and Skyzone goggles...

Well I know you are an LHS man, but there are so many Xmas deals at this time.

I just grabbed one of these @ $21.

Cheap spare parts too, although I had to get props from Everbuying @ $1.66 for 4.

It's not without it's faults, which usually have to do with the radio, but it's a nice size and flys very well.

The perfect, disposable beater.

This also interests me and will probably be the way I'll go in the spring for my tricopter.

The included antenna lacks the 'cool' factor, but it's all I'll need.

How's it look in action.

Good enough I'd say. :)

I wouldn't go that far but at the moment they are the quickest yet to get my fix...I have quite a few packages from banggood, amazon and others in the air right now but the LHS is keeping me flying in the meantime ;)

I also have a ham operators licence and enough knowledge to be dangerous...That said, I think I am going to start making some of my own antenna etc. and I'm even thinking of scooping up a nice new 3D printer in the new year.

In the now I think I'll keep working on my LOS piloting skills as they are certainly lacking :p

Picked up this little 90* cam/trans all-in-one unit for an indoor nano FPV project...tested it out in a warehouse setting at~100M and not even a flicker with one wall in between me and the unit.

Added something that I meant to add in the beginning and something I've been told that no adventurous QC pilot should fly without... a switch activated buzzer/LED strobe. Loud and fairly bright in low lit areas.

Little orange thing on the top.

Starting to gather quite a collection of these little quads, found another the other day while doing some other Christmas shopping...not even in a hobby shop. I have to say that this guy is about the same size as the blade product but weighs much more, that said it is also IMHO the best flyer of the little ones I've tried yet!
