    Are the larger drones...

Yeah, I'm at the age where I'm just about ready to be crow bait and need the P4. Thank you :)

    Are the larger drones...

Thank you! I shall stay with my Hubsan "hornet" until I have mastered it before moving on up in size.

    Are the larger drones...

Are the larger drones easier to fly? I've started with an Hubsan Q4 H107. Quite frankly it flies like the proverbial bat out of hell. The controls are very sensitive, and the wee quadcopter is FAST. Now I find myself "lusting" for something "bigger & better" such as a DJI Phantom 4 or...

    Caveat Emptor!!!...

...or buyer beware! Having bought quadcopters and parts online, or to be more accurate, having attempted to buy quadcopters and parts online I am finding that this is an entirely different buying experience from what I have experienced in the past. I have found "crooks" on eBay here in the...

    What Controller Do you use?

Aah, it's correctly referred to as a "transmitter". "Controller" is a poor Asian translation. Let's correct them:)

    Rant

As an "0lde gopher" who cut his first teeth on free flight, control line and RC sets with tubes I object to the use of "controller" in place of "transmitter". When & where in Haedes did this word "controller" creep into our hobby??? Is it a poor Chinese translation into English? I find it...

    Drone Park Coming to Houston!

Why??? Even in packed cities there are plenty of parks, school grounds in the off-hours, and parking lots. I suppose that in the central or ghetto areas there may be issues, but one can still hop a bus or subway to a flying area. In the inner city areas real estate is expensive. This in turn...

    Hubsan 107L - Up, up & ...down...

Finally got all of the parts in that I needed to get my second-hand, crashed, rejected, and abandoned Hubsan 107L into the air. lol...I must admit that it did not go smoothly, but after getting it trimmed properly I managed to get it into the air, do some touch-and-goes and finally manage a...

    Fuselage repair.

CA, superglue, is the right product. You'll want the thin variety so that it will wick in along the crack. Start where the crack is widest. This allows the thin CA to sink in deep and then wick along to the thinner parts of the crack.

My Syma X8G went in the water.....camera doesn't work!

Expanding on the rice - put it in a large plastic bag, add the camera and rice to cover. Seal the bag. Let it stand for a couple of days. If it doesn't work after a couple of attempts, then it is time to buy a new camera. I got the bag/rice bit from my daughter who works for Verizon.

    AAA Batteries - Best Performance?

Jackson, thank you very much. I've not had to deal with "electric" flying in the past, so this is all new to this olde gopher.

    AAA Batteries - Best Performance?

700 mAh are needed. Couldn't find all that easily, but did come across some 730 mAh NI MH made by Sanyo. I'm hoping that they are interchangeable. I'll have to look up their physical dimensions online,

Why Do Most Drones Have Four Rotors When Helicopters Have One? - ENGINEERING.com

Complexity in parts leads to more glitches and frustration with the average flier. We are not all engineers. Follow the KISS rule and profits will soar! KISS rule = Keep It Simple, Stupid!
