My last two Phantoms were refurbs. I have not had any problems with them with the exception of the motor mount cracks but that was a common problem with all the Phantoms.

Looks like you found a great price and snagged a great machine. I saw one out on Amazon for like $420 a couple of days ago, now they're up to about $600.

My Phantom 4 was a refurb that I bought from DJI in a very brief window where they offered it for $729 about 14 months ago. It looked and behaved like new, and I"m still flying it with nary an issue. I would trust the refurbs from DJI (versus a 3rd party) to be as good as a "new" quad.

I agree 100%. I bought a refurb for $699 last "Black Friday." It was immaculate.
 
I almost always opt for "factory refurnished" over new with any brand I trust, if they give me the option.
