JJRC H8D or MJX Bugs 2

I am wanting to get a entry level drone for fun.
H8D does not have GPS and return to home feature BUT has FPV and can do 360 flip.
Bugs 2 has GPS and return to home BUT looks like NO 360 flip.

Prices are pretty close, may be $20 difference.
Hard to choose.

If you plan to push it to the range limit, go with the one that has the return home feature. If you plan to keep it close while learning to use it, go with the one that can do the flips. When you feel that you've mastered control, buy a more expensive one with all of the features that you want.

More of a gimmick than an actual pro. The JJRC is old tech, the MJX Bugs 2 is new and has far superior brushless motors, but I don't see any spares yet. I don't know where you got your prices from but the Bugs is a lot more expensive.

As someone who has owned and flown the H8D...just don't. It's not well built, the motors don't handle the 2S (7.4 volt) batteries well at all. In sort, they get hot and burn out. Often. I modded mine a ton to cope with that issue: vented the motors, replaced prop shaft bushings with ABEC3 bearings...none of it helped much. Jackson is right about parts availability on the Bugs 2, but that will be temporary like it is with all MJX's releases. The choice between those two isn't even close.

Thanks for all replies.
I am thinking of Syma X8C or X8W but may need to look into the existing threads in this forum is existed.
X8C at ~$80
Just wonder if you guys know if I bought X8C and install my own action camera to make it has X8W FPV functionality wifi streaming into my smartphone?
Or I really need to buy X8W?

If you want to haul around an action cam look at the the much more powerful Bugs 3.

Also, the Bugs 3 does a great job being two different quads. One of them flies on low rate with an action cam and is remarkably stable. The other flies without an action cam in high rate and is an excellent fast sport flyer.

Ok, maybe three different quads. Throw a 3S battery in it and some good tri-blade props and it becomes a wicked FAST sport flyer that will give you some really nice adrenaline bursts.

I have a Bugs 2 and it flies great! Very easy to fly for a beginnner and the return to home is nice if you lose orientation. Altitude hold and gps make the thing hover on its own. It is basically my first quad, and I'm actually looking at getting the Eachine Lizard 95 and some fpv goggles to start flying fpv for something a little more exciting for me. I used to fly collective pitch helicopters and I quickly am getting a bit bored with the Bugs. However, if you are a true beginner the Bugs is perfect to start with.

Are the 7.4 VDC motors in the JJRC H8 the same ones used in the H25G, and the Syma X8? I have an H25G that has gone through a couple of FCB's from hard landings. And I'm wondering if motors abruptly cutting out at part throttle may be behind this.

If you mean the H8D, they are not the same as the ones in the Syma X8 series. I'd have to pull a spare or two out of storage boxes, but if memory serves they are 8.5mm motors in the H8D. The H25G motors may be the same as the ones in the X8's, but I can't tell you for sure. Those don't look like they would be happy with 2S batteries, either.
