Transmitter does nothing in betaflight (receiver tab)

Hi,
I recently bought an Eachine Falcon 180. I flashed it to betaflight and started setting it up. However when I got to the receiver tab, I plugged in the battery and turned on the transmitter. When I moved the yaw and throttle, the smart LED on the back of the falcon would change and flash accordingly, but in betaflight nothing happened. I've tried reflashing the firmware but it still didn't work.

I have no clue on how to fix this. Somebody please help me.

Thanks in advance

Try flashing with clean flight for a start. The SPF3 is a clean flight board. Set modes up then Aux switches on the Tx failing that, check the esc connections a correct order. Good luck.

I flashed it to clean flight and set up arming and angle mode. Whatever range I set for arming, the channel automatically goes just under it.

I did get the RTF version. I tried to fly it but every time I flew, the quad would immediately flip over. After that is when I started fiddling in betaflight/cleanflight

Originally I thought there was 0 degree yaw instead of 90 (usb port is on left side), but it wouldn't connect to clean flight or beta flight. So I flashed cleanflight on it and started setting it up. I watched a few videos and realised that the props weren't colour coordinated. There were 2 black CW props and 2 CCW props and vice versa. I thought that black props were CCW and green were CW. I found out later that I had put a CW prop on CCW motor. I have since corrected that mistake. I can't set up modes as cleanflight won't recognise the Tx

I was watching Painless 360's video and he said to untick msp and force a reboot. I did that and it worked! I finished setting up it up and it works! Thank you everyone for all your help.
