Fpv setup problem

I got a good few hours flying under my belt now so I bought some fpv kit. TS5832 & Eachine Ev800 goggles with AOMWAY tx & rx. Only thing is something ain't workin properly. Picture of my setup enclosed.
7-24v tx & 5v cam using a ubec IMG_20160805_080431443_HDR-800x449.jpg down to 5v, all off a 7.4v lipo . the tx is getting hot aswell. Will try cutting the wires down a bit after work today. Oh I missed the signal wire off the diagram. But it was set up with it. I'm also using two 4lobe AOMWAY as rx & tx. Does one have to be a skew 3lobe. It did say on the description that can be used both. I'm running the cam & tx off a 7.4v lipo just so it's easy to take off & put on.

Everything's powered up fine, just missing 1 key thing. 3 wires coming off of camera, positive & ground are fine but the 3rd wire (usually yellow or white needs to go to your TX. If you look at your diagram, there's no video signal going into your TX, so it doesn't have anything to send to your video receiver. Make sense?

Yeah thanks, I did write I missed it off the diagram but it was wired up. Was reading it may be a ground wire as the tx is heating up to about 80-90 degrees off a 7v lipo. But battery went on phone in work. Thanks for the reply friend.

I have just swapped the 2nd ground & added it to the 5v side of the bec but still no luck. Here are some more pics if anyone can make them out. IMG_20160805_185338798-600x1068.jpg IMG_20160805_185338798-600x1068.jpg IMG_20160805_185846082-600x1068.jpg

Totally miffed now as I can't really point out which is at fault, all is brand new. Not made any mistakes like power on tx with no antenna or the Ev800 goggles.

Camera to the 5v out on ubec
Tx to the pdb supplied 7.4v 2s lipo.
Yellow wire from cam to tx
& tried the 2nd ground on 5v out & pdb 7.4v.
All I can do now is try the brand new last camera I have. If that no work then maybe buy a new tx, if nothing still maybe it's the goggles.

You may be trying to overthink things and have too much going on or have an out and in reversed. This is basic setup: Power from battery to TX - Ground and positive. TX out to camera - Ground and positive. Signal wire from camera to TX in. So you should just have power into the TX, power and signal between camera and TX. TX powers camera, camera feeds TX the video signal.

OK I see what you are saying. I have the camera wired to the +&- on 5v ubec then to tx. But does the tx supply 5v out. I have skyzone TS5823 7-24v input, can't find any info on power out. Some tx's do but I don't think mine does.
Red power in
Black ground
Yellow signal
White audio(unused)
Then black ground again
So no power out, hence I'm splitting on a copper board with a 5-18v ubec down to 5v.
If I put the +&- from tx to camera, then I can't power the tx.

As you can see in this picture there is only power into tx which requires 7-24v. In the next I have the 7.4v wires covered, leaving the power out from bec & ground to camera. IMG_20160805_205227859-600x1068.jpg IMG_20160805_205427692-1024x575.jpg

The only thing that differs from your pics and your drawing is that you've got 2 grounds into your TX, although it shouldn't matter. Can you be more specific when you say "something ain't working properly". Are you just not getting any picture? Oh, and have you ever powered up your TX without the antenna connected? If so, it's most likely fried.

This is my setup now exactly in diagram.
That's what I can't figure out in the pics. I've got a couple Aomways and they've actually got 5V & 12V outs.
The tx is skyzone TS5823 7-24v. No voltage out of tx. only the antenna are AOMWAY. Like I said I'm not that stupid to put the tx on without the antenna. It's just that with it all being new I can't trouble shoot with known working parts.

It must have been a dodgy camera.
All is OK with a new one. But came across a guy who had one which gave him his picture through the audio wire. Obviously a manufacturing error. Thanks anyway people. Always get help on here.
