Rotation like helicopter - it is possible?

Hi, I'm newby and thinking why 3 degrees camera rotation is so needed + retractable landing gear for 360 panarama.

Can't quadcopter just rotate all body to take 360 degrees photo?

Not possible by 4 propellers design (hardware) or maybe no algorithms made to allow it as there were no demand for that?

Thank you.

I have retractable landing gear and my quad will rotate 360 degrees on it's axis. But I'm special
Mean yours is custom made? I saw vid of tricopter rotating but it had two props on each of three arms - I guess it can rotate because props rotate in opposite directions. Your have same principle? if not what is different from standard?

Yes, the camera is suspended on a gimbal below the line of sight of the quad. It is also adjustable on it's 3 axis. Sorry, best photo I have ATM

Yes, rotate like that, there is no view of copter in the video. Is it possible with ordinary 4 props?
Any mutirotor I've seen will yaw like that (some slower, some faster) right out of the box, nothing special about the props. It's just the way they work.

If any then why retractable landing gear is needed to take 360 photo when quadro can just yaw to take it? Camera can be flexible by only 1 axis then to be able to point anywhere (down and to the sizes, not up :-).

Because they're cool

Is there some standard software for copters? maybe camera on copters? I would like to have such soft that when on transmitter I rotate camera, copter rotates as whole if camera is only 1 degree freedom, rotates when keeping flying in set direction. Is there such?

Yes there is. Many different software depending on what flight control board you are using. Actually, there are many components of a hobb-grade multirotor that requires software. Also yes for camera. I have a Tarot T-3D and can control tilt and pan from my transmitter.
