Syma X5SW - Weak forward movement.

Hello,

I'm new to Quads and just picked up my first one on prime day - The X5SW . I have to admit I was pretty frustrated with it until I figured out orientation. Now I'm hooked. I've admittedly crashed a few times and as I expect out of Syma (from having a couple indoor helicopters) it's quite durable. I also fly in my small back yard, so it's not as if I'm flying very quickly or very high. I'm usually only 6 or so feet off the ground but have punched it a few times.

Recently I've run into an issue where moving forward is very weak compared to moving backwards. I can see that when moving backwards the angle is much more prevalent than forwards. So much so that if there is any slight wind I must spin the drone around so 'backwards' is heading into the wind if I want to have any type of control.

My google skills must be lacking as I have not found to much information on this issue. Some similar issues have mentioned resetting the gyros which I have done a few times and it has not helped. Does anyone have any suggestions of what else the issue could be?

That model has a problem fighting/going into the wind. Have you tried the highest rate to see if it helps.

Yeah. I did not have this issue before so I know something has changed just not sure what. I bent my first prop tonight. Swapped that out and reset calibration and still same issue. It's like having very low rates going forward and full going backwards. It's quite frustrating.
