Jjrc h8d possible short?

Newbie here. We have a jjrc h8d and I was replacing a motor but whenever I connect a new motor it starts spinning with the battery hooked up and power off. The other 3 motors do not spin. So if I don't have the handset on and the quad is powered down that one specific motor will automatically spin as if it was being throttled. It's only that specific one and I've tried 3 new motors. Same result. Any ideas?
 
Is the polarity correct? I have a toy quad that uses a JST connector. I use some syma type batterries that I've trimmed the ears off the connector to fit. They are not polarity keyed. I once plugged one in the wrong way and all 4 motors started instantly spinning like mad.

There's only one way to plug in the batteries. So I don't think it's that.
 
No reason to be sorry I wasn't clear enough. Seems like you may need a new main board.
