I just built my first quad.

NTM 28-26 12ooKV

3x Turingy Multistar 30A ESC (Opto)
1x Turing Multistar 30A ESC (SBEC)
KK2.1.5 Flight Controller
Quantum I8 Transmitter and Receiver

At seemingly random intervals during flight, the quad literally drops out of the sky and emits a steady tone. It is not the battery alarm. The LCD screen says ARMED. Please help!!!

That's an odd way to go about it.

Try reorienting the 2 antennas, set them at 90 degree angles, get them away from any carbon fibre or metal.

Thanks Jackson. Ill give that a try. I went with the odd ESC combo because I accidentally bought OPTO's and didn't feel like figuring out a UBEC and how it connects.

Is the BEC Esc going into M1? I personally would want the 4 ESCs to be identical, it may not matter but who knows. UBECS are a breeze to use and cheap ones ($3) work fine.

If you had been using a UBEC, I would have suggested plugging it into the RX directly. How many amps does the ESCs BEC output? This would be to make sure you are not experiencing 'brown outs', insufficient power to the receiver.

Yes, the BEC ESC is plugged into M1 on the Flight Controller. The BEC outputs 5v and the Rx requires 4-6v, so I am thinking that is not the problem. I have considered the fact that there could be a conflict with different types of ESCs. That will be the next thing I will try. Thanks for your help!
