Is this my first day? Thread

I decided to make this thread because I was on a roll getting my on-board fpv stuff set up, and had just finished making a beautiful in line splice when the unthinkable happened:

It was when I tried to pull the heatshrink up that I suddenly realized that I hadn't put any on there before I made the joint.

Can't just unsolder it, and if I cut it off I have to re strip, re tin, and re solder it all. Needless to say im done for the night.

So what are some of your guys "favorite" mistakes?

Quick soldered an esc to a board. Did a crap job and it shorted and smoked some of the board and then a whole chain reaction of failures from there. Old blue is my avatar pic but not for long. I have another racer 250 and that one is radomly dropping out of the sky, lost power to the lights and its acting like old blue. Im on the verge of saying goodbye to racer 250s. Because 99% of the time im replacing arms or tracking down power loss problems. So I guess my worst mistake is owning two of them. Im leaning to a qav-r 220 generic and starting over.

Bought a 900mhz system that has a crap camera and no good antenna options to fit on a 250 sized quad. Broke the vtx the first flight because old blue dropped out of the sky and its giant antenna broke off at the base of the vtx.

I have several more "favorite" mistakes, but I dont want to hog the thread. :)

I forget to put shrink tube on approximately 42% of the time. I've also tried to stuff a lipo into a place it doesn't quite fit. Big mistake
