so im pretty new to the scene but i already dont like how my x5c-1 is a wimp in the wind and i hear that the phantoms aren't so great either in the wind...so i was thinking of getting the Arris X-speed FPV 250 rtf, its cheaper than the phantom and from what i hear it can tear through the wind and is super awesome.

so if i got that, then got this eachine 700 tvl fpv transmitter and mounted it on the arris

then got the eachine fpv receiver

then the generic 7" tft lcd screen, and connected the receiver to the screen and mounted the screen on the controller - would that work?

For true FPV flying you need goggles. With the screen you'll always looking back and forth from the quad to the screen.

ah i see now, i also found GJHs fpv thread which is pretty sweet! do you guys think the arris xspeed 250 is pretty good?

yeah thats the one! looking forward to it and its cheaper than the phantom!

though i tried some "race quads" in acro mode on my quad simulator (fpv freerider) - kinda tough! lol

You don't have to fly in 'acro'. I use Rattitude with the CC3D. Basically if I center/release the stick it will self level. If I crank it I can do flips. There are many settings available to get it to your exact liking.
