It's at $32.99 right now on geekbuying.

I'd like to get into FPV and this would be my first quadcopter. Is it good for a beginner?

Yes. A good nano to learn on. A little slow on the controls is my only issue, but that is a good thing for a beginner. Order some extra props :)

No. It doesn't appear to come with an actual controller. You need one with a real controller if you actually want to learn to fly properly. Using the phone will never gain you the proper muscle memory to operate a real quadcopter.

I would buy one just for the fpv camera if it were 2.0mp and not 0.3mp.

The CX10 is a popular model...the only issue with them are the batteries....you cant charge a handful of batteries and keep flying...the battery is soldered in the quad and you have a good 25 30 minute wait between flights to re charge it again.

That sounds like a real pain.. Maybe it's only good at home so you charge it whenever you want, or outside with a power bank. Do you know if charging takes less or more time than flight time?

Aha, with any quadcopter you mean? Because with other tech it's usually the opposite.
Don't know what other "tech" you're talking about, I've never had an RC that ran longer than it takes to charge. Except for my Baja, takes 2 minutes to fill the tank and runs for 45 minutes

Im not aware of any quadcopter thats a toy or hobby grade that will fly longer than it takes to charge the battery.

With other tech I meant stuff that has nothing to do with RC. :p Like smartphones, tablets, etc..

You can use the 2.4Ghz transmitter from the cx-10A or cx-10C. I've seen posts from other owners saying it works fine.

Also found the CX-10C version (link), in what do they differ?

10C : Micro-SD card slot (32GB max), no Wifi or FPV. Comes standard with transmitter
10W: Wifi and FPV (via Android or iOs app). No micro-SD card slot. No transmitter but... the 10C transmitter WILL work with it (buy separately).

Some more info on the cx-10w. Most of the accessories and parts from the cx-10, cx-10a, cx-10c will fit on the cx-10w.

I already mentioned the transmitter is compatible. Here's some more things:

Single blade guards:

"Cage" blade guard:

You can 3D print the Millenium Falcon blade guard:

Glow in the dark props:

Incidently the cx-10C and cx-10W have almost the same body. The difference is a slot on the back of the 10c for the micro-sd card.

So here's a 10c with some simple blade guards:

3 blade props on a 10c:

The 10 and 10A have a different upper body but the lower body is almost the same. The "landing gear", under the props, are nearly identical. So accesories should fit on the 10W as well.

Like this 10A with wheels:

Some spare parts for the 10x series:

Body for 10C, which should work with a 10W:

120mah battery for the 10W. The 10C uses a 100mah battery, which still works in the 10W:

10C camera, which I think is identical to the 10w's:

Motors are pretty much the same across the whole cx-10 lineup. One spins clockwise, the otehr counter-clockwise:

This is the motherboard of a 10C. I haven't seen a 10W board yet but that's probably because the 10W is "too new" and replacement parts are harder to find:

I also read somewhere that one guy managed to flash the firmware of a 10C. Aparently there are "points" on the board where you can stick wires for a usb port and even jump 2 points to reset the computer. This is beyond most people's skills but for someone who knows microcontrollers and assembly, they could re-write the firmware and create a wicked cx-10w that's way beyond the factory offering.

if you look at some 3D printing sites, you'll find a lot of cx-10 series accessories you can 3D print yourself.

So anyway, point is: There's lots of support for the cx-10 series and I expect there's even more to come now that they're selling a WiFi FPV model for cheap.

Interesting, I've seen this comment regarding charge time before. Mine takes no more than 5 or 6 minutes and yes, it's fully charged
